savage up has learning by prog points, and if u do regularly screw up before the group's stated prog point then yeah youll get shooed out. or if you regularly screw up in a clear party or especially a reclear party, then yeah you wont last long there either, nor should you

Context: 99% of people who say "I'm raiding" in FF14 are doing Savage content or Unreal.

Yes they do have learning prog points but no one uses them, i've never seen nor been part of a party using the prog points system in all my time in FF14 and i've used PF to do most content, you're also sorta proving my point about the mentality of some raiders.

If you shoo off every raider who makes mistakes or people who haven't done the fight instead of giving them actual advice and help then those players aren't gonna improve and you'll come off as an asshole. I've said this before and i'll say it again, there is a big difference in understanding how a mechanic works when watching one of the many guides for a fight on youtube and actually doing it in game. Everyone has been at that point and if you're not in an FC, PF is your only option and no one there uses that system, it's full runs or nothing.

I understand people have their off days or need some warming up, which is why I give the group a dozen or so pulls to advertised prog point. If we're not seeing it then people are getting called out.

oh don't get me wrong, it's not a 100% guarantee you'll run into people like that and overall it's like maybe 15-20% of the player base overall who are like that.

It's typically seen out of "Legends". People who've done one of the Unreal raids and have the title, it's kinda become a red flag due to those players having inflated egos from having "completed" content.

People are nice, it is a much friendlier experience than any MMO i've played but if ya raiding, chances are 1 out of the other 7 will be getting salty and dip after three pulls.
