This place is just before Zion National Park entrance. It took about 30 minutes with a 6 year old. She loved climbing thru the "belly of the dragon." There is a tunnel that goes out to a wall. Trickles of water suggests it can fill up after a thaw or rain.It was about 0.6 miles round trip back to the truck! You can see in the pictures why it'ds called belly of the dragon. From ADA standpoint, this is not wheelchair or stroller friendly. To get down to the cave, the beginning is a climb down the rocks to get to. Once I was down, I could use my blind cane stick and walk to the end and back in light sand.Give us a thumbs up if this review helps you! #crazykleinadventure
A fun little hike great for the whole family. It gets busy so get there early and in the middle it gets dark so make sure you bring a light as it’s easy to twist an ankle if you’re not careful. Once you get to the other side there is not much to see beyond the tunnel.
Quick little hike to stretch your legs. There is about a 5 ft drop at the beginning of the trail and the cave portion is very uneven so it isn’t ideal for certain people who may struggle with this. My kids loves this hike!

Reviews
The Belly of the Dragon (Trailhead) offers a fun and quick hike suitable for families, with some caution needed due to uneven terrain. Reviewers recommend bringing a light for the dark sections and wearing grippy shoes. The trail features a short tunnel leading to more adventures like a small waterfall at the end, making it worth exploring further. Visitors enjoyed the sandy path but noted that sand could be kicked up into the air. Some found additional challenges like climbing cliffs or dealing with red clay residue after rainy days.

Moderate "hike" into the "belly." Take a flashlight (even in the daytime) and some grippy hiking shoes for sure. It's a short tunnel so don't get your hopes up. But continue on the trail to find more adventures. Small waterfall at the end of the trail and beautiful in Late March! No need for a tour guide. But you may want a vehicle with 4x4 to get here.
A fun short walk through the tunnel. You can continue on until the trail ends, then turn around and walk back. I would bring a flashlight or use the flashlight on your phone as the path inside waves through the tunnel, and you can end up tripping on the bolders that are everywhere. I wonder how I know that, lol. The tunnel starts right at the parking lot.
