The Scared Woes of Childhood - Chapter 2 - MarzNStarz (2024)

Chapter Text

He wasn’t much of a “thinker” if that was what you wanted to call it. Someone who just did what he wanted at that very moment, not caring about the consequences much until his bullsh*t caught up to him much later down the road. To be fair, Blitzo was pretty much emotionally immature in many ways, not knowing or understanding what certain emotions truly meant, or how to healthily go about them. He just did stupid things in order to get out of these situations, and not have to deal with them head-on. Exhibit A:

At this moment in time, Blitzo was stark naked in a nice, fancy hotel room in the Lust ring that he was currently sharing with his gorgeous, hot, girlfriend who was sleeping peacefully in bed. And what was he doing? I think you can make a guess.

Not once did she stir awake as he snooped around in her things, trying to find whatever it was he was looking for. Her soft snores were the only thing he could hear other than the loud thumping of his heart against his rib cage. The blood was rushing to his head and he almost felt nauseous, not that he didn’t deserve it.

Yeah… he was f*cked once she woke up. But who the hell cares? He needed to get out of here and fast.

It had been a few weeks since the two had been intimate, and for a while, Verosika was trying to entice him in any way she could think up. However, for some reason, she couldn’t grasp at the fact that he had been more than distant lately and it was driving her insane. It hurt that was for sure, that somebody she loved and cared for so deeply for a good few years now was pushing her away. She tried talking to him and asking if he was okay, only for him to say everything was alright and dismiss it. She even suggested couples therapy of all things, but Blitzo shot that down quicker than his actual aim. And when the two did finally have sex, he barely even moved an inch.

The same goes for tonight, as she tried all of his favorite positions and toys, just to be met with not even a twitch of his finger. He just laid there, not once looking at her, and barely even a word spoken.

She wasn't sure if the problem was on her end, wondering if she might have said something to hurt him, and trying to figure out a way to apologize if that was perhaps the case. And when she did try to do that, all he would do is give her a funny look and ask her what she was saying sorry for, even though she didn’t even know herself.

But she did, she blamed herself for his distancing.

Perhaps he had found out about her more recent development? That thought alone was scary.

“Here we go,” Blitzo said in a whispered hush, a grin coming to his face as he located Verosika’s purse under the mountains of clothing strewn about the room. His eyes provided a soft glow to the room, along with the digital clock on the nightstand that read it was 1:30 in the morning.

He opens the bag up, occasionally glancing over to the bed as if she was magically going to wake up and teleport beside him. Out of all the sh*t he has done in his life, so far, this was one of the stupidest.

Yeah well, give it a few years. He’ll probably do something even stupider, he was sure of it.

Blitzo takes out Verosika’s bright pink wallet, a picture of the two of them managing to slip out and fall to the floor as he hypnotically stares at it, stopping him in his crimes as he has a brief moment of clarity and guilt wash over him. He almost felt bad for what he was about to do, as he was no stranger to burning bridges. But this was one of those types of betrayals he knew he wouldn't be able to take back.

The two of them looked so happy in the photo when he was just starting out as her bodyguard. It was during one of her performances, and they had built up a quick friendship within weeks. And not even a year later, they were dating. He felt like the luckiest person in the world at that moment. But that honeymoon phase quickly wore out for him, and he struggled to keep up the facade any longer.

He did love her, deeply. But such intense emotions became too overwhelming and he ran away like a puss*. He was honestly disgusted with himself, for hurting her like this. But he didn’t want to continue doing so, knowing he couldn’t give her the life and love she wanted. He was being selfish and holding her back. Satan, he was such a piece of sh*t.

He takes a moment to breathe deeply, tearing his eyes away and back to the task at hand. ‘Bingo!’ he thinks, pulling out each one of her credit cards and dropping the wallet to the floor before kicking it away.

Blitzo made quick work in getting dressed, carefully navigating the room so as to not idiotically bump into anything as he pulled his pants back on. He slips Verosika’s credit cards into his back pocket and swiftly nabs her car keys just as he tugs on the last articles of clothing and stalks over to the large doors.

The imp takes one last glance at the sleeping woman. A small frown forms on his face before shaking his head to rid himself of his last thoughts and turning around, quietly closing the door behind him.

It was just a few hours later when Verosika woke up, her eyes still shut up tightly as she sat up in the bed. Her arms were raised high above her head, giving a nice stretching and yawning; she did so while her eyes blinked open gradually, rubbing away the last of her dreams to wake her up more. Verosika’s hand fell to the side of the bed, quickly noticing it was empty as she looked in curiosity and sudden confusion.

Usually, Blitzo was the last one awake, always. It was her who got up first, making him a nice breakfast to start his day, and a steaming cup of coffee newly brewed. So it was bizarre to see she was the last one to get up. The succubus glanced over to the clock on the right side of the bed, the time reading ‘8:46 am’. Yeah, definitely way too early for him. Blitzo was in bed for a good two to three more hours before getting up if he didn’t have work.

Verosika carefully got out of the bed, covers shoved to the side as the cool air of the room hit her bare body, She began eyeing the fact that her clothes were all that remained on the floor as she walked over to collect them. Perhaps he had a hard time sleeping and decided to get up earlier than usual? Or he was just that hungry and decided to surprise her by cooking breakfast this time?

Unfortunately, she couldn't even take two steps more before her foot landed on something as it stuck to her heel, yellow sclera eyes drifting down to spot the small picture of her and Blitzo that she usually kept safely in her wallet. Her eyes shoot open wide, wondering how it got there in the first place when she was always so careful not to lose it.

Verosika was quick to pick it up, hoping that it wasn’t damaged in some way as she checked it over. But that wasn’t the only thing she spotted, as out of the corner of her eyes, she saw her wallet just a couple of feet away and barely covered up by the bed skirt it was knocked under. It was not in her purse, just wide open and on the ground as if somebody had been rummaging through it.

She let out a sharp gasp, quickly diving for it and scooping it up as she looked inside, the obvious sight of all of her cards now gone save for her license. It wasn’t hard to piece together then what was going on, but she didn’t want to believe it. No, she REFUSED to believe it.

Verosika quickly grabs at the pristine white hotel robe hanging off the bedpost and rushes towards the French doors to the bedroom, slamming them open while she calls out Blitzo’s name. She began looking for him in the separate bathrooms, living room, and even the kitchen only to not find him in any of these places. What panic she had originally was quickly forming into red hot anger, all the while a few tears started rolling down her flushed pink cheeks. The woman tightly started clutching onto the robe as she turned the room upside down as if he was possibly playing a prank on her and just hiding away somewhere. Any moment know, he would jump out with that stupid grin on his face yelling, “Surprise!” and how he fooled her for not trusting him.

But she wasn’t stupid, she knew fully well the truth. He had left her. And if her missing car keys were any indication, he was long gone. She doubted she could even pinpoint just when it was he left, but it must not have been long after she passed out.

The tears in her eyes were growing thicker by the second, her sharp teeth grinding together as she collapsed to the middle of the floor and sat in a fetal position. Her arms wrapped around herself in comfort as she grossly sobbed, eventually gripping and pulling at her hair harshly to try and focus on any other sort of pain than the mental and emotional anguish she was feeling right now.

After everything she did for him. Everything she did for that bastard! All the late nights she stayed up with him to talk, the gentle kisses they shared, trusting him with her insecurities, and her willingness to even go to rehab for her addiction so that they could have a long life together, to better improve herself, to heal, and for him. And this was how he repaid her? Stealing from her, leaving her alone. She loved him and she thought he loved her. But she felt like a fool. Any love he had for her washed up a long time ago and she knew it when he could barely even look at her anymore.

Was it something she did? Why didn’t he just talk to her like she asked? She wasn’t a bad person, she wanted what was best for him. For them.

For their baby.

Verosika’s crying halted for a split second as she suddenly felt sick to her stomach, her hands finding their way to where the small child was growing inside of her. She didn’t even get to tell him yet. She knew how much he loved children, he even told her that he wanted to be a father someday. But perhaps he had found out somehow and got cold feet. Now she knew her child would grow up without a father in its life, not knowing if they were even wanted.

“Blitzo…” She cries out, her eyes sharpening as her lips tremble and her hands ball into tight fists. “You f*cking asshole…!”

God, she needed a drink.
