SUN PRAIRIE Donald (Don) Robert Wallace, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, after a long battle with at Crossings Memory Care in Sun Prairie WI. He was born on December 30, 1932, in Appleton WI, the son of Harvey and Lucille (Ludwig) Wallace. Don married Nancy (Zimmerman) on December 18, 1954, in Appleton WI. He served in the US Army from 1953- 1956.

After his time in the military, Don and Nancy later made Madison WI home where he attended University of Wisconsin Madison. Don worked for Baird for 25 years before he retired in his career from Piper Jaffrey in 2005. Don served his community and was an active volunteer for the United Way and the American Cancer Society where he served on the board. He was a member of Downtown Rotary and served on the board for Oakwood Retirement Community in Madison. Don also was a member of the Jaycees and Gyros.

Don was most proud of his three children Karen, Russell, and Michael. He enjoyed the numerous family vacations when they were young always exploring and taking new adventures. Don enjoyed skiing, boating and was always up for a good swim in the lake. He loved spending time at their lake home in Northern WI. Don created and invested in a Lake Association to continue his passion to serve later in his life.

To everyone who knew, Don was a vibrant, hilarious, caring, and engag- ing man. He could take over a room when he walked in, loved a good (and sometimes bad) joke, and always supported his family and friends. He was at his best on his boat, often enjoyed a co*cktail and good food and was a master griller. He was a natural salesman and most importantly of all, sim- ply enjoyed life, he could laugh at himself, and never felt or acted as if his accomplishments were the product of anything other than hard work and good common sense. He was down to earth, and so personable that people gravitated to him.

We will miss him greatly every day. Don is survived by his wife Nancy 67 years, his children Karen (Scott) Bo- hon, Russell Wallace and Michael (Donna) Wallace. Grandchildren Johanna (Michael) Altenberger, Tyler (Megan) Marotz, Rachel Wallace, Stephanie Wallace, Kyle Wallace, Kennedy Wallace, Carson Wallace, and Landon Wal- lace; great-grandchildren Ashlyn Altenberger, Madelyn Altenberger, Kinsley Marotz and Logan Marotz. He is proceeded in death by his mother Lucille Ludwig-Wallace, his aunt Irene and Jay Hanley. In-laws Lawrence and Lucille Zimmerman, sister- in-law Luan Thorson-Zimmerman and brothers-in-law Richard and Peter Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on November 30, 2022 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Madison. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. A luncheon will follow at the Cress Center. The family of Don would like to thank the Care Teams at Hyland Park and Hyland Crossings in Sun Prairie for the wonderful care they provided for Don as his progressed. Steele, 59, passed away on November 17, 2022. She was born in St. Jo- seph, Missouri to Sheryl (Carter) andGary Steele. Sherry loved to collect shoes, purses, thrift shop, and to bake. She also enjoyed watching crime shows such as Anatomy, and Forensic Files, she also enjoyed trying to win big gambling.

She will be remembered for her witty personality and unique sense of humor. She is survived by her children, Matthew My- ers, and Laurel (Keith) Luedtke; grandchildren, Christy Myers, Ace Myers, Kenzie Myers, Lincoln Luedtke, and Korbyn Luedtke; parents, Gary and Sheryl Steele; sisters, Cynthia Neuman andAllana Steele; and friend, Gary Howe. She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Venus Myers; and friend, Judy Howe. A celebration of life will be held at Menominee Park, Pavilion 1, Oshkosh, WI on June 24, 2023 beginning at 11AM. Sherilyn Steele NEW LONDON John Paters, age 90, passed away peacefully at home with his children on Friday, November 18, 2022. John grew up in Manawa, Wisconsin where his father owned theManawa Bakery and Diner. He married the love of his life, Donna Lamkins, on July 17, 1954. She pre- ceded him in death in 2004. He enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean conflict, stationed in Guam where he was joined by Donna.

He was honorably discharged andmoved toManawa with his wife and first daughter, Susan. John moved to New he worked for company for over 20 years. He was a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, Lions Club, Disabled Veterans Associ- ation, and National Veterans Foundation. In his 90 years, his athletic and musical talents were his passion. His mu- sical talent included vocals and trumpet, playing in his band for years and his amazing performance at the Indianapolis Roof Big Band Ballroom.

For over 70 years, the Most Precious Blood parishioners along with many fam- ilies enjoyed his magnificent voice at weddings and funerals. John was an all-around star athlete with the privilege of playing for the US Navy teams in Florida and Guam. He loved to watch the Green Bay Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the great walleye run with his children, grandchildren, and friends. Survivors include his four daughters, Susan (Richard)Muskevitsch, Cath- erine Wallace (partner Garrett Wagoner), Laura Paters, and Pamela Paters (special friend Lonnie Eick); his one son, John Michael (Colleen) Paters; one brother Robert Paters (Mary); five grandchildren, Jeffrey Muskevitsch, Amy (Jason) Popp, Kristopher (Jodi) Paters, Nathan Paters, and Hannah Wallace (partner Cruise Smyth); five great-grandchildren, Evan andMason andAva Popp, Tabitha Paters, and Riley Reinke, along with his Godchild, Tim Stevens and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the Paters, Lamkins, Sullivan, Stevens, Kryszak and families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna of 50 years; a daughter, Pa- tricia; parents, Theodore andMarian Paters; brothers, Roland and Theodore Jr. Paters; sisters, Ruth Sullivan and Joan Angell, and his Navy best friend, Joe High. The Funeral Mass for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Novem- ber 22, 2022 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.

The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manawa. Dear Dad, thank you for being the kindest soul any child could ask for. Your love and humor will live in us forever.
