The Troy School District uses PowerSchool, a Student Information System (SIS). Our SIS allows staff, students and parents access to student scheduling, attendance, emergency/medical and health management, registration, and more. If you have not logged onto PowerSchool recently you may need to clear your browser's cache if you are having difficulty logging on.

HOW TO I GET THE ACCESS CODE?

Kindergarten families and students registering over the summer will receive an email containinginstructions to setup your account in August.

If your student is new to Troy School District during the school year, you will receive an email with setup instructions as part of the registration process.

If you cannot find your access code, please contact your building office or email pssupport@troy.k12.mi.us

Do I have to have different accounts for each child?

No.

All students can be linked to the same account. If you have more than one child, we provide you a code per child. At initial setup, please enter the access ID and password for each of your students. If you have a student new to the district, they can be added to your existing account under Account Preferences.

If you need additional assistance, each school building has a PowerSchool Tech Chair who can assist you with questions and concerns. You can also email pssupport@troy.k12.mi.us with additional questions.

I forgot my parent account password

At the login screen, click the FORGOT USERNAME orPASSWORD link at the bottom of the window. You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address. You will be sent a link via your e-mail address to set and confirm a new password.

How do I access my PowerSchool account and login?

All building webpages have a link to PS.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY CHILD'S REPORT CARD?

Login to your Parent Portal. Look down the left menu for an image of a white binder with a red A+ on the cover.

For Grades K-5 it will be labeled Elementary Report Card.

For Grades 6-12 it will be labeled Report Card.

CAN I DOWNLOAD MY CHILD'S REPORT CARD?

The download icon does not currently download an accessiblecopy of the report card.

However, clicking the printer icon in the top right of the menu bar will take you to a print menu. Choose "Print to PDF" or "Save as PDF" or similar option depending on your device. This will allow you to save the report card to your device.

Why do I need a Parent PowerSchool account?

Report cards are posted to the PowerSchool Parent Portal at the end of every marking period.

The district provides parents an access ID and passwordto create a PowerSchool account to follow their child(ren)'s report cardsand attendance throughout the school year.

Parents can view the following with their account:

  • Grades and Attendance (Secondary only)
  • Grade History (not in use)
  • Report Cards
  • Attendance History
  • Teacher Comments
  • Notification Management
  • Course Requests (Secondary only)
  • My Schedule
  • School Contact Information
  • Parent Account Preferences

Parents can also set notifications by text and/or e-mail for up-to-date attendance. Up-to-date grades can be accessed via Schoology.

Elementary buildings do not follow traditional grading convention.Therefore, those pages are not accessible.

My child's schedule is listed incorrectly in the portal.

If your child recently moved from one building to another during the school year, the parent account may not update as quickly as the child's account. Please contact your school's Technology Chairperson or email pssupport@troy.k12.mi.us

My child has graduated and I'm still receiving email from PowerSchool.
