Does Purdue offer intramural sports? ›

Welcome to Purdue Intramural Sports!

On this website you can create teams and join rosters as well as view upcoming games and results. If you have any questions about Intramural Sports, IMLeagues, or employment opportunities, please email imsports@purdue.edu.

Players can play on one single-gendered team (Men's Open/Fraternity/Men's Res Hall or Women's Open/Sorority or Grad/Fac/Staff) and one Co-Rec team within each sport. Flag Football is played with 7 player in single gendered leagues and 8 players in Co-Rec.

About the team. ​

Since the organization was founded in 1968, The Purdue Dance Team has displayed continuous spirit and enthusiasm for Purdue University Athletics and community events as a self-funded team. The Purdue Dance Team competes at The College Classic National Invitational in Orlando, FL.

For now, Purdue Indianapolis will not have sports teams. “IUPUI's athletic programs will be maintained solely and independently by Indiana University, and those student-athletes will represent the new IU Indianapolis,” Schultz said.

According to the American College Health Association, the national average of college students who participate in intramural sports is 17% (Gleason, 2019).
